Sr. Service Promotion Mgr

As Senior Service Promotion Manager, Chrisleads HKTDC’s trade promotion program, covering industry sectors including healthcare and medical services, biomedical innovation and investment, digital health, as well as meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE).He also heads the Secretariat team of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide, a unique network of 46 Hong Kong Business Associations in 35 countries and regions with over 11,000 associates.

Spearheaded HKTDC’s operation in Western United States from 2017-2020with a business portfolio covering 14 States in the West Coast, Chris facilitated U.S. enterprises and investors to invest, trade and do business in Asia, particularly in China and ASEAN, through partnership with Hong Kong.

Chris joined the HKTDC in 2000 and has proven experience in directing trade and investment promotion for prioritized manufacturing sectors, creative industries, financial services, infrastructure development, transportation and logistics, supply chain management, information and communication technologies, licensing services and more. He was actively involved in capacity building program for both Hong Kong-based start-ups and mainland Chinese enterprises to upgrade and transform over the years.

Chris has had an international career and specialized in trade development, city branding and development. In addition to his solid work experience in the US market, he has also worked for the United Nations, the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and was posted to HKTDC Paris Office as Marketing Manager from 2005-2007.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Chris earned a master’s degree in public affairs (MPA) from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and a master in e-business degree from Curtin University Australia .He is an amateur trail-runner, cyclistand an enthusiast in design, filmand wine.
